Chad Temple Aug. 19th, 1979 - Jan. 18th, 2010
It is with great sadness that the family of Chad Temple of Sylvan Lake, AB (formerly of Manitoba) announce his passing at Queest Mountain, Sicamous, B.C. on Monday, January 18th, 2010 at the age of 30 Years.
Chad grew up in Waskada, MB; graduated from Waskada School and went on to attend Red River Community College in Winnipeg to obtain his Electronic Engineering Diploma. Following graduation, he was immediately employed in the Oil and Gas Industry in Alberta, and went on to become a successful entrepreneur within the Industry.
Chad will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his parents, Bob and Margaret Temple of Waskada, MB; brother, Travis Temple of Waskada, MB; his loving soul mate, Crystal Stewart of Sylvan Lake, AB and his loyal dog, Hunter. He also leaves to cherish his memory numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and countless Friends.
A Celebration of Chad's life was held on Monday, January 25th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Capri Hotel & Convention Centre (3310 - 50 Avenue, Red Deer, AB.
Memorial Tributes in Chad's name may be made directly to the Shuswap Search & Rescue (P.O. Box 241, Salman Arm, B.C., V1E 4N3).
Chad lost his life trying to save the life of a friend. Although that may, or may not, be any solace to Chad's family, it says a lot about this man's character. Reading the messages on Chad's memorial it becomes very evident that he was loved, and a well liked man.
The Red Deer Advocate reports that Chad Temple, age 30, "was whisked away by a small avalanche while trying to help a fellow snowmobiler who had gone off an embankment and been injured."

When i was young there was a boy who was like a third brother to me. He was quick to include me in every part of his life and him in mine. We shared many of life's firsts together as a team. We played, rode, jumped, built, and partied together, never doubting each others loyalty. That boy was Chad, a friend, an ally and a trusted confidant.
I will never forget you and the times we shared Chad. I love you buddy. Rest in Peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Chad and his family. Chad was a great person with a big heart and a zest for life. I often think back to a ski trip many years ago (too many) when a few of us flatlanders went to Big Ski and a young Chad was going hard with us all day long. I may have even taught him a few things that trip and not all were about skiing. You were a great person from a great family and will be missed by all those who knew you. RIP Chad.

To Bob, Margaret and Travis-
Your son/brother was a great man. I remember as a kid coming to Waskada in the summers and while babysitting Travis and Andrew Smart we would always wait to see Travis's "cool" older brother drive by on the tractor when he was in charge of town duties. The thing I will always remember about Chad was his smile. Ear to ear every single time I crossed paths with him. I will continue to think of that smile and I will smile on for him everyday. My condolences to the entire Temple clan. May Chad rest in peace

I did not know chad all that well but I seen the glow on the faces of his parents and brother whenever they talked about Chad.
When he was out last summer I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Chad @ Chrystal and his family and it was a pleasure to witness how proud his family was of him.
May you R.I.P. Chad

We lived next door to Chad in Sylvan Lake for a couple of years. He was really a great guy from what we got to know of him. He was always talking to us and talking to my kids, letting them pet the dogs and stuff. He was out in his garage all hours building, fixing, visiting, etc. I just remember him ALWAYS busy doing something... painting this old, god-awful camper orange and black....Lol.. that was funny, fixing his sleds, fixing his bikes. My heart goes out to all his family and friends. Rest in Peace Chad.

Chad was a co-worker of mine as was his girlfriend Crystal. It is hard to understand why someone with so much to offer the world can be taken in a moment. I believe that Chad spent his time well here and enriched the lives of those he met. He may be gone but he will not be forgotten. My deepest sympathy's to his family and his girlfriend and may the wonderful memories of Chad be the strength that help get you through this very difficult time. Sincerely Su Shields

Our hearts ache for the loss of Chad. To Bob, Margaret, Travis and his many friends who are suffering, we send our thoughts and prayers. Chad was a great guy from a wonderful family. I remember our trip to yellowstone a few years back, I didn't know Chad real well and I was an inexperienced rider but Chad was patient, helpful and alot of fun. His smile was contagious. His energy was amazing. Murray had the fortune to ride with him several other times and enjoyed Chad's enthusiasm for adventure. He will be missed.

You don't know me, but I just lost my brother to a horrible event. I guess I want to share with you what I have learned. No one can tell you how to grieve...no one can tell you how to feel about this disaster that has hit your family, you will go moment to moment feeling EVERYTHING, and I mean everything...You will be sad and mad and unable to reconcile...you have to go through the pain. You can't avoid it, you must go through. I'm sorry to say that it is impossibly hard to do this, but you will. Because you have to. Remember his smile, his laugh, his face..remember his voice and the things he said to you to make you smile.
You WILL get through, I promise.
My brother's name is Jason, he was 37 and he would want you all to breathe...and feel all the positivity Chad would want you to feel.
I hope this is not an imposition on my part.
Take so much care of YOU. ((HUGS))

Cindy and both liked Chad a lot, we never got a chance to visit with him a lot but the times that we had are now and forever precious. Cindy and I lot our only daughter Stacy almost 1 year and 3 months ago on the 20th of October 2008, she was 25 years old and also knew Chad. We are still going through a rough time but our faith has helped our tremendously. we hope that you agree that the Lord will look after Chad and that he has a greater purpose for him than he had here on earth. Maybe he was sent here to save that young man as he did.We wish you and also Crystal the best and wish God speed healing for you all.

Hello to all of Chad's family, from Ferris, Pat and family, Felicia, Bryan and myself.
The website at GriefHaven is excellent. I have ordered and given people the DVD and information from it. It is about people who have lost their most precious part-their children.
We offer all of you our compassion for the suffering we know you are experiencing. Chad was a fun-loving, sincere, happy kid--at the rink, at school, or downtown. He always had a smile on his face, and enthusiasm for life's activities. His light shone--and while you are working through your grief--I hope yours can again, too. You have so many friends who are caring daily about you. Hugs.....

I pray for the family to find peace to come in the memory of Chad. Find comfort in times like these by celebrating Chad's life. It is apparent through the years that Chad was so well loved by everyone he met. Chad brought so many smiles to everyone's faces, a friend and gentleman to all those he met. Celebrate his life, he lived a short although fulfilled life. I pray we all can live as Chad did and bring joy to all we touch.
